I am in a Quote-wala mood today and thoughts are simply bursting out....please bear me -:)

"Marriage actually simplifies life…the aftereffects: you actually know what you can not do and what you have to do!"
                            by Vikas Sharan

"You can never be content…..it breeds complacency, which feeds on efficiency….ultimately leading to your redundancy"
                                                          by Vikas Sharan

"Mulling over the past is not going to help you last; what you need to do is to act fast"

My Quotes (Again Useless Though)

"There Is No Tomorrow If You Screw Up Today"
                                                  by Vikas Sharan

Ok, not satiated? here's another one:

"Ignorance can be cruel, but no more than people"
                                                   by Vikas Sharan

p.s. in case you are wondering as to why I am putting my name below each quote.....it is because it is my quote and I like seeing my name. So, peace.

The Pond

The pond was filled with fresh rain
With all the lotuses standing up again
Lotuses red, pink and white
I watched them with delight
The pond surrounded by a garden so lovely
Full of colour with beautiful flowers
With birds playing their music all around
To the lovely tune, peacocks doing their lovely dance
The trees thick and strong
Yet so gentle, doing nothing wrong
Leaves green and new
With bunches of fruits few
Happiness was everywhere
It was nature in full flair
The pond was filled with fresh rain
And the earth breathed again

A Story...

Chapter 1

He followed the lady as she left the bar….out on the streets, in the dark, deep in alleys further darkened by the greed of mankind and the urge to be animal. The alleys were the ones which were strictly forbidden when he was a kid….these were the alleys of shame. As he grew, he wasn't sure, losing the conviction over the knowledge which had been passed onto him from his parents. What replaced it were the stories he had heard from friends who swore it to be no less than paradise, if there ever was any.

Today seemed like his chance. He was good with talking, having inherited it from his father who was a salesman, and a very good one it seems coz all the ladies in the area where he lived, smiled differently at him. However, his foray into the learnings of life was pretty limited, till then.

Freedom...

Desires & Freedom
Freedom....
Is nothing but illusion
For every choice that we make
There is a price to be paid
Compulsions, considerations
Of feelings, of hunger, of passion
A slave....freedom is
But then, what matters is
What we seek

India, the sleeping giant…finally waking up??

Come Olympics and most of us manage to develop a new faculty of self…some turn patriotic, some develop hope in the garb of loyalty of a fan, some add aggression to their armory of senseless complaint of the country that stems from their inability to get out of India so far and some discover new passion & reason to not do anything. However, for a nation like India, such events are like a breath of fresh air…..giving new vigour to the zeal that youth has, uniting the different sects, castes, communities in some small ways, and in general ensuring that a sense of a common identity prevails all across the nation. Certainly, such events do a lot more to bring in positivity & a sense of purpose to the nation than any rhetoric of leaders that we have.
No wonder then the whole nation waits in anticipation for us to do well at the London 2012 Olympics. Because the success of those who are representing us is the success of ‘us; a better showing at the games than the last time around will be a sign that as a nation India is finally waking up. More than the truth in this thought, it’s the belief that’s more important. Well, after a week has passed in the games, I want to wish best of luck to all my heroes, my representatives who are still left standing, still fighting – bring us glory, we all need it.

People judge you by what you say but they never do it to themselves

People judge you by what you say but they never do it to themselves.

I say this because I am been judged every time, everywhere and yet I, too am, guilty of it. We think we only know ourselves too well to be frivolous and superficial in our judgement of us. I guess, the shallowness of our minds and hearts is obvious here...we don't grant the rationale to the other and yet are ever accommodating to our vices...reasoning ourselves and anyone else who would bother, to justify...then why do we not behave the same while judging others...why do we accept the obvious and do not delve deeper, look beyond and reason before we pass a judgement to ourselves...
